Ginette Wang

Ginette is a professional multi-award winning artist, illustrator and published author.

She is well-versed in many media. Combining her Western and Chinese painting as well as Calligraphy skills, she likes creating paintings in contemporary, abstract styles.

She enjoys painting a wide range of subjects, from impressionistic watercolour landscapes, urban scenes, boats, animals, portraits to bold abstract mixed media large size paintings. Music and travelling are the places where she gets her inspiration from. Recently she has moved towards surrealism and abstract style in mixed media. 

Her paintings have been exhibited and held in private collections locally and internationally. 

She has been accepted to several international artist residency programs:
•    Ginestrelle Artist residency, Assisi, Italy 2021
•    Olive Stack Gallary, Listowel, Ireland 2021
•    Château d'Orquevaux, France, 2020

She also takes students to paint overseas as well as teaching online workshops.

She has recently been invited to exhibit in Xi’An China in August, 2019. She has been awarded with The Denis Diderot Grant and Artist-in-residence at Château d'Orquevaux in France.

She is also been invited by the Xianyang Culture and tourism Bureau to exhibit at " In Watercolour, we bond!" China New Zealand International Watercolour invitational Exhibition in August, 2019. Several of her paintings has been in permanent collection of Xian Yang Art Association and also Château d'Orquevaux art collection in France.She is the current country representative for International Watercolour Society New Zealand branch as well as been invited to be a member of the juror panel for International art competitions around the world!
