Ginette Wang

Ginette is an International multi-award winning artist, illustrator and published author based in Melbourne, Australia.

She is well-versed in many media. Her mixed culture background had a profound influence in her art creation. Combining her Western and Chinese painting as well as her Chinese Calligraphy skills, she creates artworks with strong emotions just like an opera, they can be peaceful as well as bold and exuberant.

She enjoys painting a wide range of subjects, from impressionistic watercolour landscapes, urban scenes, boats, animals, portraits to bold abstract mixed media large size paintings. Music, life, philosophy and travelling are the main sources of her inspiration. Her artworks evolve organically from impressionistic to abstract and then to surrealism. Every piece of her artwork is unique as she doesn’t like to repeat the same subject over and over.

She has won many awards Internationally and her artworks have been exhibited and held in private collections locally and internationally.

She has been accepted to several international artist residency programs:
•    Olive Stack Gallary, Listowel, Ireland 2023

•   Ginestrelle Artist residency, Assisi, Italy 2022
•    Château d'Orquevaux, France, 2019

She has also been invited by the Xianyang Culture and tourism Bureau to exhibit at " In Watercolour, we bond!" China New Zealand International Watercolour invitational Exhibition in August, 2019.

Several of her paintings has been in permanent collection of Château d'Orquevaux art collection in France  as well as in Xian Yang Art Association

In 2021, she has also been awarded in the " Top 100 artists" online exhibition organised by China Art.

Apart from painting and writing, she also teaches art workshops Internationally and invited to be a member of the juror panel for international art competitions in different parts of the world organised by World Fund of Arts and Euroasian Art Union.
